Abstract
I. Acetylcholinesterase (AChE; EC 3 . I . I . 7) activity was determined in the forebrain, cerebellum and brain stem of 12-week-old rats having different nutritional histories. One group (control) was well fed throughout life. A second group (rehabilitated) was undernourished during the foetal and suckling periods, but fed ad lib. after weaning. A third group (undernourished) was subjected to nutritional growth retardation throughout life.
