Abstract
In this article, sexual assault is a generic term for forcible sex offenses such as rape, sodomy, and assault and battery with intent to rape or gratify.Although the feministconflict perspective focuses most explicitly on forcible rape, the general thrust of their argument and its implicit assumptions apply as well to other felonies involving forcible intercourse.
