Abstract
Ein Eckstein der Strategie des Sustainable Development ist die Erhaltung der ökologischen Integrität der Systeme unserer biophysischen Umwelt (Vellinga/deGroot/Klein 1994). Ein anderer ist die Erhaltung der ökonomischen Entwicklungsmöglichkeiten moderner Gesellschaften (Costanza/DalyBartholomew 1991). Um abschätzen zu können, ob und wie sich diese Ziele miteinander verbinden lassen, ist es notwendig zu untersuchen, wie sich die ökologische Problematik gesellschaftlich entfaltet.
