Abstract
The Construction Industry Institute (CII), located in Austin, Texas, was founded in 1983 as an outgrowth of the Business Roundtable's Construction Industry Cost Effectiveness (CICE) project. It is dedicated to improving the cost effectiveness and competitiveness of the U.S. construction industry. This article discusses the CII's objectives, some of the topics addressed by CII task forces, and the publications of the CII.
