TL;DR
This paper would like to focus this paper on the secondary prevention of coronary heart disease, which includes all therapeutic manoeuvres that decrease the case fatality rate during the acute phase of a myocardial infarction.
Abstract
Atherosclerosis or better said athero-thrombosis is the pathological basis for coronary heart disease (CHD). Several epidemiologic autopsy studies have shown the correlation between prevalence of atherosclerotic complicated lesions and incidence of CHD at the population level.
