Abstract
This report contains descriptions of the sample, methods, and goals of 10 longitudinal projects that have been active for a long period of time. Each, summary describes the characteristics of the subjects studied, the type and frequency of tests administered, the character and frequency of interviews and behavioral observations, nature of the physical growth data obtained, and the past and future goals of the project. A selected bibliography is appended to each summary. A general discussion of the theoretical advantages of a longitudinal design is presented.
