Abstract

This paper reports the results of estimating a household production function to test how estimates of biochemical oxygen demand as well as nitrogen and pesticide loadings affect total catch during sport fishing trips. Two separate samples support negative and statistically significant impacts from the estimated nitrogen and pesticide loadings on the total catch, after accounting for effort and other characteristics of the fishing party and trip.
