Abstract
The aim of this paper is to present a new method of approximating decision concepts by condition concepts, where all concepts are described by fuzzy sets in universe X. A lower and an upper approximation of a coefficient of belonging of an object x ϵ X to a fuzzy decision concept will be derived from the description of x by means of a family of fuzzy condition concepts defined on X. We discuss the connection of our method to rough set, and fuzzy rough set, approximations.
