Abstract
The authors studied some aspects of sexual behavior connected with the sexual drive in male rabbits immediately after intravenous injections of oxytocin by observing the number of ejaculates collected during 30 min and by estimating the time necessary for the animals to achieve the first ejaculation. Measured with this technique, the hormone was found to give a significant increase in the sexual drive. The possible role of oxytocin as a stimulator of the musculature of the genital organs is discussed.
