Abstract

\n \t\t\tBehavioural and interpersonal skills most often cited as essential for successful knowledge acquisition. Little is known, however, about the roles played by 'dispersed leadership' in the process of knowledge acquisition. A survey of 227 self-managing employees who are, or have been engaged in knowledge acquisition activities was carried out to investigate the relationship between the specific 'dispersed leadership' dimensions and a number of knowledge acquisition attributes. Results indicated that some, but not all; 'dispersed leadership' dimensions are positively related to the skills and traits that are essential for knowledge acquisition.\n
