Abstract

This paper presents the findings of a survey of first year students enrolled in Hospitality Management degree programs at Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology (GMIT). Using a validated research questionnaire modified to reflect the local context, 51 first year student responses were obtained. The findings, which are presented in the context of other published papers in this special issue, will be of interest to those seeking international insights into the motivations of students enrolled in hospitality management programs.
