Abstract
Abstract This communication describes a simple and versatile method for the synthesis of cyclic imino ethers and imino thioethers, in which amino-alcohol and aminothiol, respectively, were reacted with isonitrile in the presence of PdCl2 catalyst (eq 1). Thus, heterocycles such as 2-oxazolines, 2-thiazolines and 5,6-dihydro-4H-1, 3-oxazine were readily prepared in high yields by a single-step reaction. Some typical results are shown in Table I.
