TL;DR

In cultures of normal human bone marrow in a medium of 20 per cent horse serum and balanced salt solution, estrone stimulated granulopoiesis, testosterone inhibited fibroblast formation markedly and stimulated erythropoiedis, and prednisolone inhibited fibrablast formation completely and allowed continued differentiation of all blood elements in smaller numbers.
