Abstract
This paper describes the current state of RUgle, a system for\nclassifying and indexing papers made available on the\nWorld Wide Web, in a domain-independent and universal\nmanner. By building RUgle with the most relaxed\nrestrictions possible on the formatting of the documents it\ncan process, we hope to create a system that can combine\nthe best features of currently available closed library\nsearches that are designed to facilitate academic research\nwith the inclusive nature of general purpose search engines\nthat continually crawl the web and add documents to their\nindexed database.
