Abstract
Crystal balls under the best of circumstances are notoriously cloudy. Thus it is difficult for anyone to foresee the future of program evaluation. The future evolution discussed in this paper clearly is a mixture of the following two things: a) The current major trends that seem to have the momentum to carry over to the future; b) the directions toward which I personally believe we should move. These possible developments in the future are discussed in detail below.
