Abstract
A growing number of philosophers call for our naturalizing epistemology.1 Yet understanding what this implies is obscured by the confounding variety of its proponents. Philosophers as diverse as Boyd, Dewey, Goldman, Hooker, Laudan, Quine, and Putnam (to name just a few) all hoist the banner of naturalism. Does a single naturalist theme unite such unlikely bedfellows, or are there simply as many naturalisms as there are naturalists? How do natural?
