Abstract
This paper applies citation analysis to a broad range of Social Issues in Management (SIM) literature. The basic focus is on identifying the roots of the SIM field, and to that end a citation data base has been developed. The paper identifies 26 major works in five different sources that are the most frequently cited, and also identifies major journals that publish SIM research. The analysis concludes with suggestions for further citation research in the SIM field.
