Abstract

This chapter presents a decades-old, extremely powerful classification algorithm that can be cast in the form of a neural network. Learning speed for this model is fast to instantaneous. However, classification time may be slow, and memory requirements are large. Performance is generally excellent and is asymptotically Bayes optimal.
