Abstract
A Command and Control Information System (CCIS) is a software application that provides information to be used by military users. The use of a single CCIS is rather easy. However, the operation becomes much complex when several CCISs, generally distributed across networks and heterogeneous at different levels, for instance vocabulary, are required to answer users' requests. As a solution, we intend to set up Business Objects (BOs) that support the interoperability of these CCISs. The development and management of these BOs are based on a number of concepts related to the following technologies: distributed-object computing, code mobility and workflow modeling.
