Abstract

Application of 0.44 kg/ha 2,4-D and 0.16 kg/ha picloram in combination impaired development of red mangrove (Rhizophora mangle) seedlings. Higher treatments caused desiccation of leaves and cortical destruction in roots. Herbicides were translocated to all parts of the plant and residues were greatest in the upper leaves and hypocotyl.
