Abstract

This scholarly book gives a comprehensive overview of the context, processes involved, and desired outcomes of the education of health professionals. We are introduced to the ‘interactional professional’ model of the the beginning practitioner as appropriate for practice in the changing context of health care delivery. Intended for ‘planners, educational researchers and teachers in the health professions’ the book begins by suggesting that the interactional professional is a development of previous beginning practitioner models.
