Abstract

The Hospitality Business Alliance's School-to Careers Programs has 26, 000 students in 688 high schools in 36 states studying lodging or food service. Considerable resources have been spent on the effort to encourage qualified and interested high school students to view the hospitality industries as a viable career choice. This study, evolving 297 participants, was intended to address the question of whether the program is attracting the students that will best meet the goals of the H.B.A.
