Foundations of mixed methods research

Abstract

Mixed-methods research systematically integrates quantitative and qualitative designs, data, or results of data analysis to answer complex research questions that might benefit from such a combination. This article presents an overview of purposes, questions, data collection and analysis procedures as well as making and evaluating inferences in such research.
