Abstract
Planning syllabi and teaching on any distance learning system, using technologies such as compressed video and two-way video and audio configurations, is not as simple as taking traditional course content and materials and transmitting them over the system. However, some thoughtful and creative planning, attention to pedagogical and instructional issues, and some personal commitment can make the approach a positive, collegial experience.
