Abstract
The relationship between cancer mortality in men and the social environment of neighborhoods is examined. Qualities of the social environment considered include demographic composition, marital status, nature of housing, and family structure. Data are from death certificates from the Division of Health Statistics of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health for the years 1972 and 1973.
