Abstract
A simple and economical extension of the minimal standard electroweak gauge\nmodel (without right-handed neutrinos) by the addition of two heavy Higgs\nscalar triplets would have two significant advantages. \\underline {Naturally}\nsmall Majorana neutrino masses would become possible, as well as leptogenesis\nin the early universe which gets converted at the electroweak phase transition\ninto the present observed baryon asymmetry.\n

It is necessary that the Universe possess a nonzero value of B\ensuremath{-}L prior to the epoch of fermion-number violation if baryon and lepton asymmetries are to survive.
