Abstract
Pregnant adolescents and student nurses are both undergoing role transition when student nurses teach prenatal classes to single adolescents. Through participant observation and the constant comparative analysis of grounded theory, I determined that both groups engage in the process of "trying it on for size". As learners teach learners, an environment of mutual support is created that allows for experimentation with roles. In this article, the process of trying it on for size is discussed from the perspective of a faculty advisor with emphasis on the benefits to both students and clients.
