Murder strikes and panic follows—Can behavior modification help?

Abstract

This report describes the positive impact that a treatment design based on behavior modification had on a campus crisis. The emotional upheaval precipitated by the murder of a university coed was controlled in part by a combination of relaxation training, thought-stopping, modeling, and behavior rehearsal.
