TL;DR

Serum samples from Norwegian Lapps have been ubmitted to Lp, Ag, Gc and Transferrin type determinations and compared to non-Lappish Norwegians, the Lapps has a high frequency of the Agx gene, a high Frequency of the Gc1 gene, whereas the Lpa gene frequency was the same in both populations.

Abstract

Serum samples from Norwegian Lapps have been ubmitted to Lp, Ag, Gc and Transferrin type determinations. Compared to non-Lappish Norwegians, the Lapps have a high frequency of the Agx gene, a high frequency of the Gc1 gene, whereas the Lpa gene frequency was the same in both populations. In 301 sera 2 variant Transferrin types were observed.
