Abstract

The paper discusses the assumptions and procedures of six covert conditioning techniques that include: covert positive reinforcement, covert negative reinforcement, covert sensitization, covert extinction, covert response cost, and covert modeling. Extensive research evidence is cited and the current trends in this area are briefly noted.
