Abstract
This chapter helps the readers to construct a Markov Chain to understand the next most likely event in an effort to more fully understand characteristics of the overall scenario represented in the data. The code presented is meant to use basic data techniques to help a human make strategy decisions. The code does create interesting visuals supporting a data narrative to be given to a decision maker and presents an advanced exploratory technique to understand the probabilistic nature of game states. The chapter utilizes basic R programming for summary statistics and visualizations. A more advanced exploratory data analysis technique explores the transition probabilities of in game play action. Constructing Akron's transition probability matrix for play actions starts with first understanding the team's overall actions in the data.
