Abstract
Linda R. Cronenwett, RN, PhD, is Director, Nursing Research, at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, Hanover, New Hampshire. Her contributions to the scientific literature in nursing result from studies of a variety aspects of maternal and paternal role transition following childbirth. She is the editor of a bimonthly newsletter for staff nurses entitled Research Review: Studies for Nursing Practice, and a member of the Editorial Advisory Committee for Nursing Research. In July 1987, she completed a two-year term as member of the Executive Committee of the American Nurses' Association Council of Nurse Researchers.
