Abstract

One of the consequences of two decades of 'crisis' economics and 'crisis' politics has been the reconceptualization of some basic categories of political economy. Whereas in the 1960s and even the 1970s social theory was relatively content with methods which stressed the stability - or reproduction - of society and social relations, the last decade has seriously challenged such approaches.
