Abstract

The reactions Cr52, 54(d, p)Cr53, 55 have been studied with a magnetic spectrograph at Ed = 10 MeV. The Q values and absolute differential cross sections for many proton groups were measured. Angular momentum assignments and absolute spectroscopic factors for different levels given by means of the DWBA are compared with the results of calculations on the basis of the shell model and the unified model. The collective components in the wave functions of the unified model have been observed in the reaction Cr53(p, p′) at Ep = 11 MeV. A strong similarity between the low-lying states of Cr53 and Cu63 is found.
