Abstract

Eight out of ten black Americans believe that the banking industry does not afford them the same opportunities as it does whites. In Black Managers, the authors analyze the dynamics which influence the careers of black bankers. This book not only suggests strategies to help the black professional survive in a difficult environment but also recommends policy considerations to help top management facilitate the development of a highly motivated, productive and loyal cadre of black managers and other professionals.
