A Microanalytic Approach to Store Location Analysis

Abstract

Through microanalytic modeling, consumer preferences and shopping patterns can be used to estimate sales for existing or future retail establishments. This article reports on such a study done for supermarkets. Implications of the methodology for management and future research efforts are discussed.
