Abstract
This chapter focuses on career development programs for athletes. Following an introductory section, an overview of the existing career transition programs is provided including the Olympic Job Opportunities Program, Olympic Athlete Career Centre, and Athlete Career and Education Program. The authors then focus on research conducted on the perception of potential users of such programs. The chapter concludes with practical considerations in the provision of career development programs for athletes.
