Abstract

This study analyzes tourism resources for six cities in nine provinces in Korea using a regional analytical method. Two basic tourism supply structures-tourism supporting services and area size/cultural assets-were identified and further used to find possible different tourism development stages of the fifteen regions in Korea. Findings revealed that the degree of tourism development and growth may vary as a function of tourism supply resources, and tourism supporting services can influence the success of tourism. The study concludes with appropriate marketing and planning implications as suggested by study findings.
