Abstract
The purpose of this investigation was to determine whether (1) a systematic relationship exists between consensus and decision effectiveness, and (2) a systematic relationship exists between consensus and decision satisfaction among group members. In addition, the study attempted to determine whether those relationships, if they exist, are stable across situations (i.e., decision‐making strategies) or situationally bound.
