TL;DR

Tamoxifen demonstrated antimanic properties and was remarkably well tolerated, and the findings encourage further clarification of the role of PKC in the pathophysiologic mechanism of bipolar I disorder and development of novel anti-PKC agents as potentialantimanic or mood-stabilizing agents.
