Abstract
So far this year The Lancet has received 34 papers on meta-analyses or systematic reviews. Not all can be shared with our readers. As research papers— and they are original research, not armchair musings–they are not invulnerable. Some are defective, others mere duplications; furthermore, there are plenty of other homes for them, including electronic sites such as the Cochrane Library.
