Abstract
A simplified method of traffic survey was used in Rochester, N. Y., by the New York State Department of Public Works. Motorists were asked to turn on their automobile headlights on the approach to the memorial bridge. A sound truck furnished by police provided directions and signs were posted along the approaches. The motorists seemed to enjoy participation in the count at each approach.
