Abstract
The value systems of human beings have a great impact on their behavior. Therefore, an understanding of what personal values are and how they differ among various hospitality industry groups can lead to improved communication and the development of better motivational systems. This article examines the value systems of managers in the quick service segment of the food service industry in the United States and compares them with students enrolled in college level hospitality programs.
