Abstract
Cet article tente de demontrer les enjeux theoriques et methodologiques d'une definition pertinente des communautes interpretatives. Dans le cadre des interactions qui les lient, les membres des groupes de lecteurs ou d'autres types de consommateurs de mass- media, partagent des interpretations et des normes integrees sous formes de codes identifiables. L'etude de ces phenomenes peut d'une part, enrichir l'etude de nombreux groupes sociaux « naturels » et d'autre part, permettre une approche quasi- ethnographique de l'etude des media
