Abstract

The subject of death and dying has received increasing public and academic attention in the past decade. Newsweek magazine made the saga of "Living with Dying" its cover story recently,1 and a feature on "A Better Way of Dying" appeared in a recent issue of Time.2 Students ranging in age from kindergarteners to octogenarians, in settings as diversified as municipal grade schools, universities, medical and nursing schools and basement halls of churches and synagogues have participated in offerings on the subject.
