Abstract
We explore the impact of new SU(3)×SU(2)×U(1) invariant interactions characterized by a scale of order a TeV on Higgs boson properties. The Higgs production rate and branching ratios can be very different from their standard model values. We also discuss the possibility that these new interactions contribute to acceptable unification of the gauge couplings.

The perturbative expansion of the production cross section is well behaved and that scale dependence is reduced relative to the NLO result, which gives confidence in the reliability of the prediction.

The QCD corrections to these processes in the standard model at next-to-leading order reduce the renormalization and factorization scale dependence considerably and stabilize the theoretical predictions for the cross sections.

This work presents an example in which the masses of all superheavy particles differ from [ital M][sub [ital U]] by at most a factor of 10, and argues that, if the threshold effects are taken into account, that SO(10) grand unified theory is still quite satisfactory.
