Results are reported which show that luteinizing hormone at pH 1.3 undergoes a marked change in its physical dimensions as studied by comparison with the gel filtration behavior of a series of simple proteins and two other glycoproteins on Sephadex G-75 at pH1.3 and pH 7.5.

The molecular weight and the sedimentation behaviour of beef liver glutamate dehydrogenase was investigated and it was found that the associated enzyme molecule is formed in a stepwise association-dissociation equilibrium and not in a closed equilibrium between monomers and the octamer without any intermediate steps.
