Abstract
In Part I of their report, the authors discussed factors that influence a child's perception of events in relation to sexual abuse. Part 2 concerns factors that enhance or detract from validating a child's allegations of sexual abuse. Guidelines for conducting the clinical evaluation of sexual abuse are suggested. Situations in which unfounded allegations may arise and the sequelae of false or unsubstantiated allegations are reviewed.
