Abstract

Vendor selection is one of critical decision-issues in the theoretical and practical circles. After analyzing the limitations of the existing multiple criteria decision methods,a method for vendor selection is developed by integrating analytic hierarchy process(AHP),preference ranking organization methods for enrichment evaluations(PROMETHEE) and geometrical analysis for interactive assistance(GAIA).Taking quality, economics factor, technique level, responsive capability and delivery factors as evaluation criteria,AHP is used to analyze the structure of vendor selection problem and determine weights for evaluation criteria,PROMETHEE is used for final ranking,GAIA is used as a tool for sensitivity analysis. Finally,a numerical example is given to illustrate the efficiency and feasibility of the proposed method.
