Abstract
This research investigated sex and grade differences in components of self-concept for 461 kindergarten, Grade 1, and Grade 2 children with the SCAMIN and IOX Self-appraisal Inventory. Sex and grade differences were found. Correlations between scales and subscales were low; it appears that these instruments measure independent constructs.
